Hi, cool post. I have been wondering about this topic,so thanks for writing.

Russ on Mar 31, 2009 at 10:27 AM

Since we will need to continue using the beta version for longer is there a chance that you could release some kind of update with a few extra features just to keep our interest going?

Jeo on Mar 30, 2009 at 1:03 PM

An update on whats the next step from here would be great before the 31st. So I can prepare accordingly rather then being without email tomorrow then having to look up info on the product.

Brian on Mar 30, 2009 at 10:36 AM

unlike other comments here, I noticed no additional battery drain. I send and receive emails instantly. This is perfect for what I want. What is up tomorrow when this expires? I am ready to purchase the real version.... hope its not more than 9.99....

james on Mar 30, 2009 at 8:36 AM

Beta ends tomorrow... what are we going to do then?

Mike on Mar 30, 2009 at 7:25 AM

Used to have problems send mail. removed & reinstalled the account. set to use ssl cert (little checkbox next to address) & was then able to send mail, will the purchased version be something available through the market, or will i just need to run an update on the current version (since it expires tomorrow.)

Interesting turn of fate... about 1145 the tool which only was recieving the sent items the prvious 9 hours or so, suddenly started recieving the inbox items as well. Overall I like it... it does what I need. The message size limitation and the wait to view would be nice if it could be set to download.

Also would be nice:

-to keep the mail on the SD card to limit system memory being used -have a mode to set the push time or turn off push and use a send/recieve button to conserve battery power -a setting to have it automatically download messages for x number days, then maybe just keep the headers to save on memory space -html mail/cc/bcc/etc/email options/calendar/contacts that integrate with the native books on the G1 would be nice that others have mentioned. -some kind of configuration button/tab to change some basic settings

looking forward to the production release version!

Seems like a decent app.. however, it only downloads sent items from my corporate email, not recieved, so isn't very useful.

Armen on Mar 20, 2009 at 12:48 PM

I had a strange event. Suddenly today, Moxier mail kept giving me errors and so I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Now sending emails works. Awesome!

Russ on Mar 13, 2009 at 7:58 PM

Where can I download this application? I don't see it in the Android Market.

Thanks

Roger on Mar 13, 2009 at 4:50 PM

I am having the same problems as a few others. I can receive and delete mail, but cannot send mail. I would probably buy it if it worked.

Sandra on Mar 12, 2009 at 10:52 AM

I love it

Gavin Lewandowski on Mar 5, 2009 at 7:45 AM

Product sync's to my hosted exchange 2007 server, however cannot send any email - it simply never arrives , havent noticed battery drain with RC9 UK Firmware , would agree with using SD card for storage though

Armen on Mar 4, 2009 at 7:44 PM

I loaded this earlier today, with great excitement. I can read my emails, although I am having the battery life problem also.

The thing that was disturbing was that I was unable to reply to email. I'm not talking bulk replies, just a reply to a single individual. I hit send, but what I didn't know was that not one email went out.

I got curious when people were repeating stuff to me in email as if I wasn't responding. Is there a patch for this soon? I understand limiting large distributions, but back to 1 person?

PG on Mar 3, 2009 at 8:10 AM

Like Mike below, I am unable to send any emails through. Recv seems to work fine though. Is this a bug that will be addressed?

This app seems to keep the phone from sleeping which did nasty things to my battery life. I just threw in the towel and uninstalled and low-and-behold my phone now goes to sleep as soon as I tell it to.

If this is the the price of "push" email, I would much rather have the phone wake up a couple of times an hour and "pull".

Apart from the battery killing aspect of it, it is a pretty decent app. It obviously needed a few more features, but I did like the polish.

igor on Feb 24, 2009 at 1:16 PM

Does it support remote wipe?

def on Feb 18, 2009 at 11:49 PM

Thanks for that splendid moment of makinkg it running on my white cutie. You are my only option so far since we run on 2003 vpn protection so touchdownd is a different ballgame.. However, beta is beta, so most of the time I only know something has arrived and have to check it on my laptop anyway - 5K for corporate is ridiculous. Mainly due to this it is really difficult to evaluate. Otherwise, same objection to signature line as one comment below - if you are good enough you do not need this ad, energy drain, etc. Stuff you for sure will tune to perfection. Last: you say I can use this app till March 31st - I cannot cuz it is not functional enough, please speed up! X.

andrew on Feb 15, 2009 at 4:45 PM

Difficult for me to evaluate as I keep active mails in different folders and generally try to clean out my inbox asap. The 5kb size restriction stopped me today viewing 40% of my recent mail. I'll need to store my mail on the sd card if I were to use the software. The feeback/branding bar takes up the space 1-2 emails in the list. Also, the calendar is such a huge part of the exchange experience and part of my daily usage.

On the positive side the app seems slick ansd responsive for me. I am going to continue to keep an eye on this app but will contine to use touchdown for now.

I'd be very interested in seeing what features are likely to make v1.

alex on Feb 14, 2009 at 12:09 PM

Does this work for hotmail? And if so, how do you program it?

Justin on Feb 14, 2009 at 4:14 AM

After using it for a day, I didn't experience the battery drain that others have mentioned. I do agree with the 5K limit and no GAL support being deal breakers though. I'm different than most though and only use my mobile device to check mail and lookup contacts while I am out of the office. So I don't care about the Calendar or other folders, I didn't sync them on Windows Mobile.

I like the application and can see the promise for non-power users like myself. I do need the ability to change the signature line. Can't really have my professional emails going out with the current one.

Crosifixio on Feb 13, 2009 at 10:02 PM

I can see this program turning into something great though.

Crosifixio on Feb 13, 2009 at 9:50 PM

Sorry guys, debut way too soon. Didnt perfomr sufficient testing prior to launching. Yes, its a beta, but I don't think you are going to get the excitement you could have received had you looked into things more. Corporate world will stick with Touchdown for the time being. Push is great, but Touchdown will have this by March 31st, possibly earlier. Like everyone has already said, battery drains, some people can only view outbox and don't see any inbox messages, ouch on the memory, and really missing the wow factor that is necessary to rival Touchdown. I wish you the best of luck with this because I know how things can start out rough, but turn out to be great. Just curious, why did you put out the beta in this condition? Best of luck!

Dmitriy on Feb 13, 2009 at 3:24 PM

Sounds like a good start. After reviewing list of features, I was not ready to move over from TouchDown. Though I have not rried it myself yet, I think that comments about resource consumptions are especially troublesome. It took a while for Microsoft to optimize Exchnage ActiveSync on Windows Mobile. I hope will be successful in this. Calendar and contacts are also a must. I believe that push email is the right way to go for me in the future. I will be looking forward to feature rich and optimized follow-up.

Ricky on Feb 13, 2009 at 12:34 PM

Finally able to get exchange mail via active sync. That is the great part. Does seem like the battery is draining quicker. I cant wait for full version to see what features are available.

ismarc on Feb 13, 2009 at 12:01 PM

The application in its current state is completely unusable. It consumes so many system resources that all other applications load times are exponentially increased. Additionally, the system memory used is not freed when leaving the activity, instead the full resources required to display the application are in used to keep the service active. These are core problems with the design of the application that need to be addressed (and are a cause of drastically shortened battery life).

The inability to view or sync any folders besides the base Inbox is a complete feature failure. Anyone who regularly uses Exchange should be making great use of folders and sub-folders. Additionally, only being able to display ~30 messages with no options to load more makes this completely unusable if you have to remove all rules so that all emails go to the base Inbox.

On top of this, the body of the email messages are not downloaded until the message is displayed, meaning that there is no possibility for offline use. It also means that having push notification is useless if you still have to wait 1-5 minutes after you click on a message if there happens to only be an EDGE network available.

There is also no support for attachments, cc or bcc.

Rob on Feb 13, 2009 at 11:53 AM

Sorry guys. It's a nice effort, but very far behind. Touchdown is an email client that supports the GAL, Calendar and email, plus multiple folders. It doesn't support push, but I'd rather have my calendar.

Charlie on Feb 13, 2009 at 11:40 AM

The 5k limit turns out to be a deal-killer, for me. I can't even test it with less than 30k. :(

Mike on Feb 13, 2009 at 9:04 AM

I seem to have a problem sending mail through Moxier. recv works fine, is this one of the known issues? also would be great to separate the send/recv, either by folder or only sync from phone to exchange on sent folder only... would save lots of space!

Justin on Feb 13, 2009 at 8:47 AM

What is going to be the cost of the final product once it is out of beta?

Carlos on Feb 13, 2009 at 7:00 AM

This is great, but since there is no way to buy the application at the moment, is it possible to increase the size you can read in the content? Currently it's set to 5K bytes and that's almost useless (I can read 1 in 10 emails). I could understand the limitation if there was already a pay version available, but since there isn't it makes Moxier Mail frustrating to use. (Which is disappointing, because it seems like a great product!)

Marc on Feb 13, 2009 at 6:47 AM

Is there a way to use signed certificates for SSL? I would also agree to allowing to store emails on the SD card.

Ehab on Feb 13, 2009 at 6:37 AM

After I installed it on my Android phone my bettery was drained so quickly. Is there any option to let me chose the frequent for checking for new email? also it would be great if you could store the emails on the SD card instead of the phone memmory.

Thanks
